Handmade Scottish Tours & Ceremonies

Personalised Day Tours from Edinburgh, Vow Renewals & Naming Ceremonies

Welcome to Kelpie Quines

Kelpie Quines is a very small, friendly and mature tour company

(but most of the time it’s only me)

dedicated to sharing the best of Scotland with you.

The tours are personalised and suited entirely to your needs. I like describing our tours as hand knitted, with lots of care and love. I listen to your dreams (and we all have our personal dreams of Scotland) and I make them into a completely personalised tour. Each tour is as unique as you are. What is constant, is the beauty and wonder of Scotland.

Vow Renewals

I offer fully, hand crafted Vow Renewal ceremonies which entwine the nature, history and beauty of Scotland with your ceremony.

Discover Scotland

Scotland is often described as the best wee country in the world. I certainly think so. We are so proud of our country, and we love showing it off.

The awesome beauty of the lochs, mountains and glens along with the songs of the beaches, the islands and the mysteries of the Standing Stones and Brochs call out to people all over the world. As does the music, the whisky, the wildness of the weather and the wealth of the history, starting from mists of the Picts and Celts. Whether this is your first visit to Scotland or you are planning your next visit, I’m here to help you create memories of a lifetime. Although I specialise in Edinburgh walking tours I also love showing off all that Scotland can offer.

I’m now lucky enough to combine all these things as a tour guide and I love it.

Donal Skinner, The University of Texas

recently had the pleasure of taking a large group of students to Edinburgh Castle with Monica who was an exceptional guide. I cannot recommend the experience highly enough. From the moment we met, Monica's passion for history and storytelling was evident. Her knowledge of Scotland and the castle's rich history, combined with her engaging and friendly demeanor, made the tour both educational and entertaining.

Monica expertly navigated us through stories behind the castle's many highlights, including the Crown Jewels, the Stone of Destiny (albeit no longer there), and the stunning views from the battlements. She shared fascinating anecdotes and lesser-known facts that brought the castle's history to life, making each stop on the tour feel like a step back in time.

Although we were a large group (22), Monica connected well with everyone. She was attentive to our questions and interests, ensuring that each of us felt included and engaged. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and it was clear that she genuinely enjoyed sharing her love of Edinburgh Castle with us.
